At Build a Beauty School, every aspiring educator begins their journey with THABTA’s Fully Accredited Level 3 Award in Education. This foundational qualification is designed to equip you with the skills, knowledge, and confidence you need to teach effectively in the hair, beauty, and aesthetics industry.

Not only is this award the first step in becoming a recognised educator, but it also ensures you meet the essential requirements to confidently teach your craft and potentially secure teaching insurance.

What Does the Level 3 Award in Education Cover?

This comprehensive course provides you with everything you need to succeed as an educator, including:

1. Understanding Roles and Responsibilities as an Educator

Learn the key principles of teaching, the responsibilities of an educator, and how to create a positive and inspiring learning environment.

2. Planning and Delivering Engaging Lessons

Gain the tools to design professional, structured lesson plans and deliver sessions that captivate and motivate your students.

3. Creating a Safe and Inclusive Learning Space

Master techniques for managing diverse groups of learners while ensuring your classroom is welcoming, respectful, and safe for everyone.

4. Assessing Learner Progress

Learn how to create assessments, provide constructive feedback, and measure your students’ progress to help them reach their full potential.

5. Building Your Teaching Confidence

You will complete a micro-teaching session which gives you the opportunity to develop a lesson plan, bringing this to life with your unique teaching style. You will receive feedback to ensure that you develop and move into your educator journey with the confidence to teach with authority and inspire your students to succeed.

PRE-REQUISITES

This program is specifically tailored for experienced professionals who are ready to take their skills to the next level by becoming educators. You’re eligible to undertake this award if:

• You are aged 19 or over.

• You have been qualified in your subject area (Hair or Beauty) for at least 2 years. This ensures you have the experience and expertise to confidently teach your craft.

CERTIFICATION

Upon successful course completion you will receive your IPHM Fully Accredited and Insurable course certificate: LEVEL 3 Accredited Award in Education

This certificate enables you to go on to apply for accreditation for your courses and to apply for insurance so that you can start offering courses once you obtain these.

CLASS TIMES- CHOOSE ONLINE OR IN-PERSON

ONLINE VERSION:

If you would prefer to work through the course as self- directed study, choose ONLINE VERSION on the drop down menu.

This means that after enrolling we will email your written assignments and you will complete them independently at a place and time that suits you.

You have access to 2 x Support Calls that you can request during or towards the end of your period of study.

We will be in touch to arrange a suitable opportunity for you to complete your Micro-teaching assessment.

IN-PERSON TRAINING:

If you would prefer to attend the academy for a day and work through the certificate together, select your preferred training date from the drop down menu.

ONLINE VERSION:

Self- directed study- you will complete your assignments in a place of your choosing.

IN-PERSON:

Training will be held at THABTA: The Hair and Beauty Training Academy, 180 West Regent Street, Glasgow, G2 4RW.
